ISIS 2011

Emergency Readiness is Leadership Driven

ISIS 2011 was the fifth cohort of the CACP’s Institute for Strategic International Studies, an intensive, eight month problem-based learning and research program for Canadian Police Executives.

The CACP Board of Directors assigns each ISIS cohort a current theme, and for 2011, that theme was Emergency Readiness in Canada. As the video teaser shows, the ISIS team interpreted that theme and produced a research focus to guide their work both domestically and in the field.

In late May, the full team assembled for their third week-long working session after returning from their global field studies. There, the results of their work was consolidated, and the full team generated their research findings and their recommendations for the Canadian Policing and Public Safety Leadership community. These results were then presented live at the CACP Annual Conference in Windsor.
